Myles Harden out of South Dakota is certainly an experienced and solid cornerback, but his footwork is slow and he got in trouble creating too much separation, even at a smaller school.Aside from Martin Emerson Jr. and the occasional performance from Cameron Mitchell, no one has really stood out on the Browns roster that pairs well opposite Denzel Ward. So if the Browns see Newsome as someone who they can lock up long-term, not opting for a cornerback early was a smart move. D'Onta Foreman and Nyheim Hines were free agents for a reason, both heading into their seventh year in the NFL.
